śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine
namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe
nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe

Respected Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept my humble obeisances at Your divine Lotus feet.

You mentioned in Chaitanya Charitamrita:

One should be free from all kinds of material attachment and should take full shelter under the lotus feet of Krishna. Krishna is very kind to His devotees. He is always grateful, and He never forgets the service of a devotee.

Just like Krishna is kind to His devotees. You are also very kind, compassionate and grateful. We should also be grateful to you for all that you have done for us and for the entire humanity.

In one of the purports, you wrote:

Therefore, one who is intelligent, his prayer should be simply gratitude, that "My dear father, You have supplied the necessities of my life so much amply, I must be feeling very grateful.

Lord Krishna has saved your life and your baby, it is very much pleasing to me. So I am so much grateful to Krishna, and you should also know that how much grateful we should all be to Krishna.

Proper family life means that the husband should be protective, the wife chaste, and the children grateful to their father and mother. Children should think, "My father and mother gave me so much service. When I was unable to walk, they carried me. When I was unable to eat, they fed me. They educated me. They gave me life." A bona fide son thinks of ways to render service to his father and mother.

Here I am trying to list some points for which we should be eternally grateful to you:

Thank you for giving us the greatest gift of Krishna Consciousness.

Thank you for connecting us to a bonafide disciplic succession.

Thank you for your wonderful books.

Thank you for your vani–recorded lectures and conversations.

Thank you for bringing us in touch with the most merciful incarnations of Lord – Deities, Holy Names, Krishna prasadam, Krishna’s seva, etc.

Thank you for the wonderful devotees, who offer necessary support in Krishna Consciousness.

Thank you for the preaching opportunities.

Thank you for the seva opportunities to engage our senses, mind and body.

Thank you for presenting the message of Krishna in its purest form, with no adulteration.

Thank you for being so compassionate and merciful and tolerating our anarthas and shortcomings

Thank you for showing us the right path back home, Back to Godhead.

Thank you for the opportunity to practice the system of initiation that was proposed by you.

Thank you for enlightening us about the goal and purpose of human life.

Thank you for enlightening us about the real miseries – birth, death, old age, and disease- and showing us the path to overcome them.

Thank you for so many transcendental gifts – some mentioned above and many of which we are not even cognizant of.

Srila Prabhupada, you are our Spiritual Master. You are our eternal guide. We should also be very grateful to you for all that you have done for us and do our best to serve you and your mission.

On this most auspicious day, I beg you to make me a puppet in your hands. Grant me your mercy so that I may become a sincere devotee and contribute to your glorious and wonderful mission.
